Continue on a computer
Use a desktop browser with a keyboard and mouse. You can read this guide on your phone; this client has no mobile controls.
Set up your browser session
Open the CSPlay client
The browser client opens in this tab. Your CSPlay account and game sessions remain separate.
Choose your game folders
Select the valve and cstrike folders from your own Counter-Strike installation. The client reads selected files locally; it does not upload them.
Start with your files
The client checks your files before starting the engine. It reports missing content and loading errors. Use Stop to close the game or retry.
Before you start
Your Counter-Strike 1.6 installation
You need your own game content: the valve and cstrike folders. In Steam, open Counter-Strike's installed files to find them.
A desktop browser with WebGL
Use an up-to-date desktop browser, keyboard and mouse. Loading and performance depend on your device.
Keep this tab open
Selected content stays in the current tab. Refreshing clears the selection; your original game files remain unchanged.
Keep the essentials close
The client's default controls. Click the game view to focus it before using the keyboard.

A few things to know
Where does the game run?
The client is CSPlay's own browser runtime, separate from the CS2 platform. The launch button opens CSPlay's client in the current tab.
Why do I select my game folders?
This client uses the files from your own Counter-Strike 1.6 installation. CSPlay does not include the original game content. Selected files stay in browser memory and are not uploaded.
Do I need to sign in?
The local-file client does not need your Steam password or CSPlay login. It does not receive your CSPlay session, wallet or inventory.
Can I join multiplayer servers?
When the client shows a ready CSPlay server, select your game folders and choose Join server. You can also play locally. This flow does not reserve a private server.
Do CSPlay skins, coins or ranks carry over?
CS2 skins, wallet balances and progression stay with CSPlay's CS2 platform. The browser client has no reward or inventory connection.
The game does not load. What can I do?
Read the client's error message, check both original game folders, and try again in an up-to-date desktop browser. Stop closes the current engine session before you retry.
